Ace Combat 8 Guide

Ace Combat 8 Aircraft List

Bandai Namco's aircraft page lists 23 jets in four roles: 10 fighters, 7 multiroles, 4 attackers and 2 electronic warfare planes. The full roster is larger, over 30, and the rest are added here once they are confirmed. Filter by role to compare.

Four fighters in formation, each in a different bright custom paint scheme
Custom paint is part of online mode, where each jet can be repainted and marked.

Level 1 reward of the Season 1 Premium Ace Pass (the Deluxe voucher unlocks it). Usable in the campaign only after every mission is cleared. It is not on the aircraft page, so it is not counted in the table. More on the Ace Pass page.

How jets unlock

In the campaign you buy jets and their parts in the Aircraft Tree with MRP, the currency missions pay out; extra objectives pay more. Online mode has the same list of jets, but you earn them again there through its own rewards. The Aircraft Tree page covers both, and the mission list shows which missions are known so far.

Which role to fly

Pick by the targets, not the plane. The sortie screen shows a mission benchmark, air-to-air or air-to-ground, next to the jet you are about to take, so check it before you commit.
