Ace Combat 8 Platforms
Ace Combat 8 is on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC through Steam, at the same price on all three. It is not on Game Pass or PS Plus, and no Switch 2, PS4 or Xbox One version has been announced. Online play is cross-platform across all three.

Crossplay
Ace Combat Online is fully cross-play between PS5, Xbox and PC, so a squad can mix platforms. On consoles the usual subscription applies: PS Plus on PS5, Game Pass Essential or higher on Xbox. PC online needs no subscription. Co-op means the online mode's own missions; the story campaign is a separate mode. The online mode page covers the modes and lobby.
PC or console?
The PC version needs a ray-tracing graphics card even on Low and a Windows install on an SSD, and the crash notice Bandai Namco put out is for the Steam version; fixes are on the crash fixes page. On a console there is no graphics card to check and no anti-cheat or driver setup. PC is the only version where the Joker Flight Pack collector sets are sold, and the one where the Ace Combat Zero bonus lives inside Ace Combat 8 instead of standing alone.
